\u2705Registration of the Fourth Intangible Heritage of Fahraj on the National List of (National Monuments\/Heritage)<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udce3According to the Yazd Central News Agency of Seda va Sima, Abdolmajid Shakeri Shamsi stated: In the recent meeting of the National Council for the Registration of Intangible Cultural Heritage, held at the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts, ten intangible heritage items from Yazd province were registered on the National List.<\/p>\n

He added: The ritual of Mash’al Gardani (torch procession) of Ardakan, the Dasteh Saqqa (water-carrying procession) ceremony of Yazd, the skill of baking Chahar Sang (four-stone) bread of Nodooshan, the method of preparing Eshkeneh Boneh (a local stew) of Khatam city, the Shak \u0628\u0647 Shak (horn-to-horn) ceremony of the Sultan Bandarabad complex of Ashkezar, the neighborhood procession ceremony on the second day of Muharram in Mehriz, the Mohreh dar Koozeh Andazoon (bead-throwing in a jar) ceremony of Marvast, the skill of cooking Dompokht-e Olm (a local dish) of Abarkuh city, the skill of making horn-handled knives of Herat, and the method of preparing Goor Mast (a type of yogurt) of Fahraj village are among the \u0622\u062b\u0627\u0631 (items\/works) registered on the National List.<\/p>\n

Shakeri Shamsi expressed hope that with the continuation of this trend, effective steps will be taken towards the introduction, preservation, and perpetuation of the province’s intangible cultural heritage, including rituals and celebrations, oral culture and traditions, food, traditional craftsmanship, skills, knowledge, and creativity of the people in different regions.<\/p>\n

The Deputy for Cultural Heritage of the province stated: So far, 1,718 immovable historical monuments, 83 movable historical-cultural artifacts, 162 intangible cultural \u0622\u062b\u0627\u0631 (items\/works), and 61 natural (items\/works) from Yazd province have been registered on the National List.<\/p>\n
