Historical Fortress of Fahraj<\/strong><\/p>

The Historical Fortress of Fahraj, located outside the village’s historical core, was built along with a water cistern to serve as a temporary refuge for the lives and possessions of the local people in the event of an attack. As a result, this two-story fortress with numerous rooms was shared by all the villagers. The fortress features a three-story entrance and four round towers at the corners, dating back to the 9th and 10th centuries AH (Islamic calendar).<\/p>

The Fahraj Fortress is one of the most prominent fortresses in Yazd province. It was constructed in the 3-tier design with double walls and is about 400 years old. Although the fortress is privately owned, nearly all the residents of the village have a share in it.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
