This site is the burial place of Imamzadeh Abajafar Mohammad, a descendant of Aboujafar Mohammad (Imamzadeh Jafar of Yazd). The site features a valuable marble tombstone, measuring 44×71 cm, with inscriptions identifying the deceased as Abajafar Mohammad bin Obeidallah bin Mohammad al-Husseini al-Arizi, who passed away in 515 AH. Currently, this tombstone is preserved at the Cultural Heritage Department of Bafq County.

According to the “Tārikh Jadid Yazd” (New History of Yazd), during the Abbasid Caliphate, Imamzadeh Jafar, after staying in Yazd, became the son-in-law of Amir Oujsh, the governor of Yazd. Amir Oujsh granted two prosperous villages, Fahraj and Tozrojan, to Imamzadeh Jafar for sustenance. Based on this, it can be concluded that since the time of Imamzadeh Jafar, Fahraj has been a suitable place for promoting the faith and a center for Shia Muslims, which is why the mausoleum of one of his descendants is located in this village. It is noteworthy that a significant portion of the residents of Fahraj are descendants of the Al-Arizi family.

Afshar, Iraj. 1969, Yadgar-ha-ye Yazd; Ta’arof-e Abnia-ye Tārīkhī va Asār-e Bāstānī-ye Khāk-e Yazd.
