Javad Mirbehboudi, the director of the Rural Affairs Office and Councils of Yazd Province, in an exclusive interview with a reporter from Fars news agency in Yazd, referred to the review of the Fajr file for introduction as Iran’s third global village, stating: In addition to other supportive measures at the beginning of the year, 900 million tomans has been allocated from the resources of Article 58 of the law to restore and revitalize the historical texture of Fajr village, and previously, funds from Articles 42 and 58 have also been dedicated to this issue. He discussed the development and promotion of rural tourism in the province, saying: Yazd Province, due to its ancient historical significance and natural and cultural characteristics, has charming villages with a serene and untouched environment, traditions, local cuisine, rituals, and stunning landscapes in the heart of the desert for both domestic and foreign tourists.<\/p>\n
Merbehboudi added: Among these, 43 villages are classified as tourism target villages in the province, and special focus has been placed on their improvement and introduction. He noted that the tourism target villages in the province are those that, due to having specific tourism conditions including natural, cultural, historical attractions, and local customs and traditions, have been introduced as tourist destinations.<\/p>\n
The Director General of the Office for Rural Affairs and Councils of Yazd Province continued: These villages, due to their pristine nature, authenticity, and distinctive features, hold high appeal for both domestic and foreign tourists. The introduction, improvement, and enhancement of their infrastructure are matters of concern for the province. He pointed out the importance of the village of Fahraj for its introduction as a global village, stating: At the beginning of this year, 900 million tomans were allocated from the budget under Article 58 for the restoration and revitalization of the historical fabric of Fahraj village, and previously funding from Articles 42 and 58 had also been dedicated to this issue. Mirbehboudi, while appreciating the actions of related executive agencies, stated: The village of Fahraj has been considered one of the successful examples of rural tourism development, particularly regarding accessibility, and the Fahraj file will be sent to the World Tourism Organization in the coming days.
