Fahraj Castle, one of the prominent castles in Yazd Province, is a three-story structure with double defensive walls, located in the village of Fahraj. It is approximately 400 years old.
Although the castle is privately owned, nearly all the villagers share in its ownership. Therefore, with the participation of the villagers, traditional craftsmen, and a group of volunteer teenagers and university students, the facilitators of Fahraj village organized a voluntary campaign for making mudbricks.
This campaign is set to continue every Thursday until enough bricks are produced for the restoration of the castle.
