A Memorable Nowruz in the Heart of the Desert: Fahraj Welcomes Thousands of Tourists in Spring 2025

During Nowruz 2025, Fahraj — a designated tourism target village — with full readiness and a renewed appearance, welcomed an unprecedented influx of visitors.
After a year of preparation, including the restoration of the village’s historical fabric, the installation of lighting, wayfinding signage, and the introduction of historical landmarks, Fahraj successfully achieved a remarkable record in tourist attraction during Nowruz 2025.

The installation of street furniture along historical routes, waste separation bins, and flower planters in public and historic spaces created a unique atmosphere for both residents and visitors.
Among the village’s most notable initiatives during Nowruz 2025 were the presence of professional tour guides and the training of local teenagers as “tourism assistants.”
More than 2,000 visitors toured the village during the holiday period, and approximately 5,000 tourists visited the desert camps around Fahraj, reflecting the excellent services provided and the warm reception of visitors.

Additionally, the village marketplace, managed by women and teenagers, offered notable services, including the sale of local products and traditional refreshments.
It is worth noting that Fahraj has three traditional guesthouses, all of which operated at full capacity during this year’s Nowruz festivities.
