The village of Fahraj was recognized in 2024 as the first accessible village in Iran due to its efforts to improve accessibility for people with disabilities.
In line with this achievement, the Spinal Cord Injury Association of Yazd Province, in collaboration with the Village Administration of Fahraj, organized a special event in November 2023 to welcome individuals with physical disabilities to the village.
During this event, the warm-hearted people of Fahraj hosted over 40 guests with disabilities. The celebration included joyful local performances and traditional meals lovingly prepared and served by the women of the village.
